
DIET is responsible for diploma course in education. Two types of D.Ed. courses are conducted by DIET.

The Pre-Service Teacher Training is Meant For Preparing Teacher For Elementary Education

1- At least 180 teaching days in a year
2- Number of subjects teach in two years = 12
3- First year- The role of teacher in Education in the Development of Indian Society Child Psychology, School Organization & Planning, Chile Centered Education & Educational Technology, Hindi and its teaching and Mathematics & its teaching.
4- Second Year- Educational Psychology, Nutrition and Physical Education, English and its Method of Teaching, Sanskrit and its method of Teaching, Social Science and its Teaching, Environmental Education (science) and its Teaching.
5- Teacher Pupil undergo internship in practice teaching at least 40 days every year.
6- Physical Education, Art and Work experience also part of Pre Service training.
The In-service teacher training is meant for professionally untrained teachers who are working in Primary and Upper Primary schools.

In-Service Teacher Training Operation Quality Program
COURSE DESIGN
1-20 days contact program for guidance in all subject.
Number of subjects teach in two year = 12
2-First year- Education In Indian Society, Educational Psychology, School Management, Content and Methodology Teaching- Hindi, Content and Methodology Teaching- Mathematics and Content and Methodology Teaching- Environment Study.
3-Second year- Educational Evaluation, Information and Communication Technology, Content and Methodology teaching- English, Content and Methodology teaching- Science, Content and Methodology teaching- Social Science and Content and Methodology teaching- Sanskrit / Urdu.
4-Teacher pupil undergo internship in practice teaching at least 25 periods in their own school.

In 2006-07 the 20 days training was given in 2 phase. The first phase was of 14 days residential training at Block and DIET level. The second Phase was 6 days' nonresidential
